In Sept, 2025 I received a recall letter from Ford to repair the windshield side moldings. Ford.com recommended to take my Explorer to a Ford dealership in Homewood, because it was cloest to my home, which I did. The dealership's service dept said that they did not have the repair parts and for me to call back evey month, which I did, with no results or help. In April, 2026 a rock hit my windshield so badly that it had to be replaced. Again I called the Homewood dealership with the same results as the past 7 months, with a total lack of concern. Then I decided to call Long-Lewis in Hoover. Not only was the service advisor, Brooklyne, concerned but she helped me get my windshield replaced and the Ford recall repaired all within one week. Also, she arranged to have all the work done at my home on the same day. Over the past years, I have owned 4 Explorers and due to the service department's care and attention, I will go to Long-Lewis in Hoover first if I decide to buy another one.
